We must stay strong and vigilant. 40 years ago on this same campus Black and Brown students united to establish the Pan African and Chicano/a Studies departments.
40 years later, we stand in solidarity across all color lines to save the entire education system.
We are still fighting for our departments. Understand that as the state continues to make cuts, Black and Brown departments are the first on the chopping block.
We have to continue what our heroes of past tried to fight for. We have to continue their struggle for the sake of future generations, not just our own.
